For buyers
Buy a domain from its proven owner.
Every owner here proved the domain is theirs, and each listing shows its registry dates and every WIPO case that names it. Pay through an escrow service. We add no fee.
Know who owns it before you write.
Every listing carries the same record, read from the registry, from WIPO and from the owner's own proof. Then you talk to the owner directly.
- 1Proof of ownership
The owner proved control with a DNS record or their registrar account. It is yes or no, never a score.
- 2The registry record
Registration and expiry dates, the registrar and the nameservers, from the public registry record.
- 3Every WIPO case
Checked against 83,980 WIPO cases, linked to each decision.
- 4Write to the owner
Add an offer if you like. Pay through an escrow service; we recommend one and never hold the money.
Check any domain, listed or not.
Type any name to see every WIPO case that names it and its registry record. If it is not for sale, brokers can ask the owner for you.
- 1The dispute, with its decision
Case number, complainant, outcome and year, linked to the decision on WIPO's site.
- 2The registry record
Registered, expires, registrar and nameservers, read when you ask and never in bulk.
- 3Not for sale? Ask anyway
Post your budget, and brokers on proven.domains approach the owner for you.

How do I buy a domain that someone already owns?
If it is listed on proven.domains, write to the owner from its page: the owner has proved they control it. If it is not listed, post it on Wanted with your budget, and owners and brokers can answer. Before you pay, check its registry dates and any WIPO case for free.
Is it safe to buy if proven.domains never holds the money?
proven.domains recommends paying through an escrow service: it holds the buyer's money until the domain has moved, then pays each side. Before that, every listing shows whether the owner proved control of the domain, its registry record and every WIPO case that names it.
Is it really 0% commission?
Yes. proven.domains takes nothing from any sale. If an owner invites a broker and the broker sells the domain, the fee the owner set goes to the broker, not to proven.domains. An escrow service, if the two sides use one, charges its own fee.
Where does the dispute data come from?
From WIPO's public UDRP case lists: the case number, domain, complainant, outcome and year, linked to the decision on WIPO's site.
How is proven.domains different from Afternic or Sedo?
Afternic and Sedo take between 10% and 30% of the sale and negotiate on the seller's behalf. On proven.domains the owner deals with the buyer directly, or invites a broker at a fee the owner sets, and the marketplace takes 0%. Every owner also has to prove the domain is theirs before the listing shows as proven.
How does proven.domains make money?
Today it does not. Listing, proof of ownership, parking and messages on proven.domains are free, and proven.domains will never take a commission on a sale.
